RISLEY SOCIAL LIFE

A feature of our company is that we are not just about performing great musicals. Many social activities are organised throughout the year, providing the opportunity for members to socialise out of "Risley hours". Here's a flavour of such events:

Theatre Trips

The Social Committee arranges trips to see West End shows. In the past we have seen "Phantom of the Opera", "Miss Saigon" and "Chicago".

Christmas Social

This annual event is a Risley 'get together' before Christmas and entertainment is provided by the Social Committee. In recent years, this has been in the form of a quiz, a challenge evening and even a festive barn dance!!

Show Week

The Social Committee are acting members of Risley, but they still find time to organise a meal out and an after-show party!

Other social events Risley have enjoyed include a night at Walthamstow Dog racing, various theatre trips (see above) and ten-pin bowling.

OTHER EVENTS

The Fund Raising Committee hold very popular Quiz Evenings twice a year.
These attract well over 100 people each time and the money raised goes towards funding our next production.

The Social Committee is always open to suggestions for other social events.
The aim is to make Risley an even more enjoyable company to belong to.
